Circuit breakers can not only switch operating currents and low overload currents, but also in case of network failures high overload currents and short-circuit currents. Furthermore they can hold the residual currents within a given period of time and then switch off safely.
The quenching of the arc takes place in the maintenance free vacuum chamber. SERW circuit breakers have been designed with the primary aim of increasing the plant efficiency. The areas of application range from energy distribution (three-pole design), industry to railway (single- and two-pole design).
All circuit breakers are equipped with a spring mechanism.
